CRIMINAL MINDS ~ Shemar Moore at Daytime Emmys

When Susan Lucci finally won her first Daytime Emmy for her work on "All My Children," it was SHEMAR MOORE who presented her with the award. SHEMAR was playing Malcolm Winters on "The Young and the Restless" at the time. He later won his own Daytime Emmy in 2000. After eight years on Y&R, he has moved into prime time with his role as SSA Derek Morgan on "Criminal Minds."

Earlier this year, the sad news that "All My Children" is being cancelled was announced. After forty-one years on television, ABC will air the last episode on September 23, 2011.

At the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Show on Sunday, June 19, Lucci was reunited with SHEMAR when they presented the awards for Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Lead Actress.

In an interview after the program, SHEMAR had this to say when asked about his soap opera roots. ~

"I will always honor the source. Bill Bell, who's no longer with us, took a chance on me and he changed my life."
